KidKare does the claims job well, and it checks the claim before you file. It runs about $129 a month, and check-in and family payments come from its Parachute add-on. We do the claims — checked against the CACFP meal pattern — plus attendance, billing, incidents and a family app, on one record and one bill. Starting at $29 a month, and $49 for the whole center; the medication logs and the lobby check-in kiosk come with Growth at $149.

Summer Food: KidKare offers SFSP for single-location centers as well — we checked before putting a tick in their column. What we could not find is the price: their ARAS/SFSP pages publish none, and their $129 Food Program page for centers does not mention the program. Ours is in the $29 Compliance plan with no add-on, and the calendar-year rates are already loaded — they are published here.

It does claims, and it does them fine. The question is what it’s doing for the rest of your day. If attendance is in a second system and billing in a third — or in the Parachute add-on on top of your $129 — a monitoring review means lining them all up by hand. One record ends that, and the plan that covers your whole day costs less than what you’re paying for claims alone.

There are CACFP-only tools priced under KidKare, and if the food program really is all you need, they’re worth a look. Two things to check when you compare: whether there’s a setup fee on top of the monthly, and whether attendance is included or costs extra.
